Our play area bark chip is a quality bark material with a 8-40mm particle size, may contain some larger pieces, that can be used for private and public play areas as well as a general garden mulch. Play area bark has a pleasant dark brown/red appearance that is non staining and offers great protection from frost for your flower beds.Contains some whitewood, normally within 5% (by volume basis) Play area bark chippings are BS EN 4790: 1997 fire certificated, and BS EN 1177:2008. FSC ® certified, an impact absorbing playground surfacing test. For private play areas we would recommend a minimum depth of 10-15cm, and 15-30cm for public areas. When used as a border bark, play area bark retains its colour and size longer than most other organic mulches. With regular raking, play area bark can last for years
